Covington Place

Pasadena, CA

Nestled along a tree-lined Pasadena street, this project tells a story of connection—between homes, generations, and the landscape that brings them together. Two neighboring colonial-style residences—one belonging to the parents, the other to their daughter and granddaughter—share a garden designed to bridge daily life across two households.

A series of outdoor rooms reflects the family’s way of life with terraces, courtyards, and a new loggia connecting indoor spaces with shaded outdoor rooms for dining, cooking, and gathering.

A sunken lawn provides a place for the extended family to gather and children to play.

Reflecting the details of the architecture, a new welcoming entry sequence and plantings open the property to the street.
