The Standard at Los Angeles

Located adjacent to Exposition Park, The Standard at Los Angeles — a new mixed-use student housing complex — takes its cues from the surrounding urban fabric and the nearby Rose Garden. Internal courtyard spaces are organized to reflect the formal patterns of the garden, while the public realm explores the angular patterns of the city’s grid. The project consists of five private residences, including two historic houses relocated to the site, retail on the ground floor, and 8 floors of apartments. Amenities include private courtyards, outdoor kitchen, communal dining and lounge, fire tables, study lounge, fitness areas, and a rooftop pool deck. Form-making, hardscape finishes, plant palette, and tree placement will be grounded by both the garden and the city.
