EPTDESIGN is seeking talented, design-oriented candidates with 12+ years of experience in team leadership and estate residential landscape architecture to join our Pasadena Studio.
Expected Performance
- Provide leadership for the estate residential studio.
- Continually develop and maintain client and consultant relationships.
- Manage an efficient and effective project team.
- Support firm wide initiatives for growth, and revenue targets for the estate residential studio.
- Uphold overall project design quality and standards.
- Understand and assist in the development of firm-wide financial goals.
- Attain professional recognition for the firm in the estate residential market segment.
- Provide mentorship for the estate residential studio in areas of design, graphics, creativity, brainstorming, and marketing.
- Be independently responsible for the management of daily and long-term project tasks.
- Communicate and work closely with Principals.
- Monitor project status, staffing needs, project budgets, and project goals.
Professional Skills
- Demonstrate expertise in management and scheduling of a team with multiple projects.
- Be proficient in presentation and communication skills.
- Provide leadership and initiative throughout all phases of design.
- Demonstrate and preach a firm-wide understanding of the design process and construction practices.
- Be proficient in writing, graphic presentation, and other industry standard practices.
- Maintain overall quality control for deliverables.
- Provide a high level of organization in the management of project schedules, staff schedules, project budgets, and contract management.
- Ability to prepare proposals/contracts and develop design fees.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a landscape architectural practice focused on high end / estate residential design.
- Professional licensure.
- Experience designing and implementing projects from concept, through construction documents, and construction.
- Progressive, forward-thinking vision.
- Solid and consistent leadership.
- Proven ability to mentor and support the development of junior and mid-level staff, contributing to a culture of growth and learning.
- Establish a strong and effective working relationship with other leaders on the estate residential team.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino or SketchUp.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, and a team player.
- Experience leading project teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Field experience is preferred (Construction Administration).

- Access to reliable transportation for occasional travel to job sites, client meetings, or other office locations.
