His love of the wilderness keeps Travis outdoors whenever possible, whether taking his family to test parks across the state or hiking, biking, skiing or backpacking. In our studios, this passion translates into a commitment towards connecting our communities to nature. Each project achieves this in different ways. For Irvine’s Adventure Playground renovation and Quail Hill Community Center, Travis oversaw the custom detailing and coordinated construction documentation of a nature-play based park. Treehouses, rock walls to climb, open meadows and naturalized streams that treats stormwater while attracting birds and dragonflies will give children a place to discover and manipulate the natural world. He is equally passionate about high quality design and project management for our complex urban and multi-family housing projects. His coordination of both Park Place Apartments and The Villas at Playa Vista, both high-density residential neighborhoods built on top of parking structures, exemplifies Travis’s excellence in guiding a project from its initial vision through construction to see it come to life. Travis is a regular volunteer for the Irvine Ranch Conservancy, especially at the native seed farm.
