Stephen Carroll, a partner and principal, leads our Healthcare and Education practices. His 20+ years of experience include groundbreaking projects such as Kaiser Permanente’s new net-zero medical office campus in the Antelope Valley and the LEED Platinum-certified Frontier Project. The Frontier Project educates over 5,000 visitors a year on sustainable design practices, and was selected by the Landscape Architecture Foundation for their Case Study Investigation Series measuring landscape performance. Stephen shares his approach to landscape architecture through presentations to such organizations as Kaiser Permanente and the Los Angeles Unified School District and as an invited design critic at USC, UCLA, and Cal Poly Pomona. As a natural team-builder with a collaborative and proactive approach, he develops holistic design solutions by building consensus in complex stakeholder teams. Stephen’s focus on both long-term success and design excellence takes projects from master planning through design development, construction documentation, and into beautifully built work. His designs have been recognized by the American Institute of Architects, the United States Green Building Council, and the American Society of Landscape Architects.
