For over ten years we’ve worked with The Ratkovich Company to renovate The Alhambra, a 45-acre former pipe manufacturing and engineering campus. With retail, fitness, gardens, courtyards, fuel cell energy and planned housing, the campus is a model of sustainable development. This beautiful historic facility offers one million square feet of unique office and institutional space. Inspired by the landscape of The Alhambra in Spain and local examples such as the Huntington Gardens, the new design creates an overall sense of “Destination.” The campus also features a health club, a future high-density neighborhood for 300 families, and an elegant pedestrian bridge linking the site to The Alhambra Retail center. Our latest project turned the central mall into a water-wise demonstration garden using California native and adapted plants. The garden reduced landscape water demand by 85%.
